Charles Walker MD

  • Family Medicine Resident

Hi! I’m from Pittsburg, TX (yes, you’re reading that right, and no, it’s not misspelled) and so excited to finally make it up to “Big Pittsburgh!” I studied Music at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth (Go Frogs), worked as a scribe during a gap year, and then attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. I was a bit of a late-comer to Family Med, deciding late in my third year after much deliberation, but I’ve never felt so affirmed in a decision as I have with choosing this specialty. Like many Family Medicine docs, my interests are broad, but I’m particularly interested in behavioral health, child and adolescent health, public health, lifestyle medicine, outpatient procedures, and potentially academic medicine. I strongly value my time outside of the hospital where I enjoy music, tennis, gardening, hiking, having coffeeshop chats with friends, and of course, pickleball!
