Dr. Bensur earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree and a Master of Science in Medical Education from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. She completed her residency training in Family and Community Medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA, where she also participated in the Women’s Health area of concentration and received Osteopathic recognition. Following this, she completed fellowship training in Family Medicine Surgical Obstetrics at Ellis Medicine in Schenectady, NY.
Dr. Bensur finds care of the birthing person- infant dyad to be one of the most beautiful parts of practicing family medicine, and she enjoys providing full-spectrum care to patients of all ages. In addition to obstetrics, her interests include interconception care, osteopathic manipulation, medical education, and procedures in family medicine.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Bensur enjoys supporting Pittsburgh sports teams, spending quality time with her husband Jim and their goldendoodle Archie, visiting family, and exploring places to eat around Pittsburgh.
