The Structure
- In August, the fellowship hosts 8 sessions per week (4 days/week) for an intensive 4-week Summer Seminar Series.

The Setting
- Seminars are primarily held at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital Conference Center.
- Fellows get exposure to underserved, full spectrum, family medicine patients in outpatient and inpatient settings

All locations serve patients of varying socioeconomic status and ethnicity including poor, minority, and underserved patients.
Faculty Development Fellows are part of the Department of Family Medicine and participate in teaching activities at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
The fellows have access to a citywide network of resources including a variety of local, general, and specialty hospitals, private physician offices, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
